So many times I have been asked "How to find a job?". Let us start writing on a piece of paper, all business and technical skills you own. Don't ignore any talent. Even the skills you haven't used for a long time or the abilities you developed in your hobby or exactly what you've learned from your friend's small project.

Browse job posting on the internet job search sites. This sort of gives you the idea of market trends. Concentrate on those fundamental skills, during the economic downtime, the company usually returns from fast-growth mode to maintenance mode.
Currently, you have a list of all the skills you think the market features a big appetite.
Start thinking of who really needs those expertise to make a difference in their success. It won't be too late to find out some of business and give them a try.

If you still can't find a job, then I would recommend that you look for the place you often missed around you. If you take my advice and strive on that, eventually you could say "Amazing, I don't know actually I can find a job in my area..."

No, I'm asking to read everything else but business sections. There are tons of work hide behind the paper, you may not see them?
