The health and financial costs of a smoking addiction makes the decision to continue on one you cant really argue for in any sense except for the fact that as a smoker this is a habit that you enjoy.

After I made my list I hung this list up on my bathroom mirror and also on my bedroom door. I wanted everyday to see my motivation for changing my behavior this helped a lot since quitting smoking is a decision one has to renew day by day. As you stop smoking you have to expect there will be times when you will slip but in the times past that I backslid, I just accepted failure and started smoking full steam ahead. This time if I slipped and bought a pack of cigarettes or smoked one I begged from a friend I allowed myself forgiveness for not being perfect and started right back up.

After I saw the scales go up I made sure to workout more and not to rearrange eating with smoking. I also rewarded myself by pampering myself with a little something I usually wouldn't do for myself. When I pay attention to careful smoking control my cigarette use always goes down. I can't say that I don't think about smoking from time to time and most probably always will but I always prompt myself that what you save is both money and health. Your clothes don't smell like smoke your hair does not reek of smoke and you can taste the food you eat. You can also put the money you would have used for buying smokes into a bank account and watch it grow.
